UN CAPRICHO DE PRODUCCIONES is an independent production company based in Barcelona and Tarragona. Founded in 2008 by David Fern\u00e1ndez, Edu Soto and Santi Su\u00e1rez, it took off in 2015 with the arrival of Bel\u00e9n S\u00e1nchez as a partner.\n

\nOver the course of nearly twenty years, we have had the opportunity to work with leading professionals in Catalonia, Spain and internationally. We produce feature films and documentaries, short films and television shows. They are in-house productions and national and international co-productions, supported by official institutions or programmes such as Eurimages, ICAA, ICEC, Movistar+, RTVE, 3Cat, \u00c0 Punt... We always aim for our products to achieve the greatest possible impact through premieres at leading film festivals such as San Sebasti\u00e1n, IDFA, Berlinale, Toronto, Tallinn, Palm Springs, M\u00e1laga and Valladolid, among others. \n

Santi started out in television. After working for several production companies\u2014El Terrat, Globomedia, Notro TV\u2014where he was in charge of directing TV shows, he decided to embark on his own adventure as a producer. In 2015, together with Bel\u00e9n S\u00e1nchez, he relaunched Un Capricho de Producciones, where he combines production work with writing and directing. He premiered his first feature-length documentary, \u201cIn Memoriam Biel\u201d, at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival in 2024. His filmography also includes: \u201cTan sumamente ligero\u201d (short documentary, 2025), \u201cNosotros no nos mataremos con pistolas\u201d (Mar\u00eda Ripoll, 2022), \u201cSecaderos\u201d (Roc\u00edo Mesa, 2022), \u201cLa innoc\u00e8ncia\u201d (2019, Luc\u00eda Alemany, 2019), ‘\u00c9s a l’aire’ (co-directed with Christophe Sion, 2019), ‘Ainhoa, I Am Not That Woman (Carolina Astudillo, 2018), Black Shit (Manel Serrat, 2018), The Jungle Kids (2017), Priorat (David Fern\u00e1ndez de Castro, 2016)… and two fiction short films, \u201cInquietante\u201d (co-directed with David Fern\u00e1ndez, 2011) and \u201c…y gracias\u201d (2007).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bel\u00e9n S\u00e1nchez is a Spanish-Argentinian producer who was educated in Argentina and Europe. After studying Psychology and Philosophy, she found her true calling in film. At the age of 25, she got her first job in the industry at Cromosoma. Cromosoma was one of the largest animation studios in Spain, with a great passion for documentaries. Bel\u00e9n worked there until 2011, when she left the company to study the European Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Management (MEGA PLUS) at the Media Business School. The MEGA led her to do an internship in the Co-production Department of the ICAA (Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts) and, immediately afterwards, in 2012, she joined Rebeli\u00f3n Terrestre Film as a development executive and associate producer. At Rebeli\u00f3n Terrestre, she developed several horror, suspense and fantasy films and released \u201cLos \u00faltimos d\u00edas\u201d (Alex and David Pastor) and \u201cSummer Camp\u201d (Alberto Marini, 2015). Bel\u00e9n left Rebeli\u00f3n Terrestre to become a full partner in Un Capricho de Producciones, alongside producer and screenwriter Santi Su\u00e1rez. Here, she developed a large part of her filmography \u2013 \u201cIn Memoriam Biel\u201d (Santi Su\u00e1rez, 2024), \u201cSecaderos\u201d (Roc\u00edo Mesa, 2022), \u201cNosaltres no ens matarem amb pistoles\u201d (Maria Ripoll, 2022), \u201c150 i una grossa\u201d (N. Deulofeu \/ A. Sulli, 2020), \u201c\u00c9s a l’aire\u201d (Ch. Sion \/ Santi Su\u00e1rez, 2020), \u201cLa innoc\u00e8ncia\u201d (Lucia Alemany, 2019), \u201cAinhoa, yo no soy \u00e9sa\u201d (Carolina Astudillo, 2018)…\u2014, while collaborating with other production companies such as Polar Star Films. Eudald Corominas graduated in Film and Audiovisual Media from ESCAC. His professional career has developed in both fiction and documentary, taking on increasing responsibilities within production teams.<\/p>

In 2024, he completed a Master\u2019s degree in Executive Audiovisual Production at Blanquerna \/ PROA and joined the production company Un Capricho de Producciones, thus consolidating his profile as an executive producer.<\/p>

He has worked as production manager and head of production on projects such as the feature film Al cim<\/em> (Ignasi Gisbert, 2024) and the international documentaries Shevchenko: A Letter from Ukraine<\/em> (2023) and Castells de ci\u00e8ncia<\/em> (Carles Cort\u00e9s, 2026).<\/p>

As a director, he has made several commercials and short films, such as Her\u00e8ncia<\/em> (2021), and has recently taken on the direction of the documentary Els Sons de la Diada<\/em> (La Xarxa+ \/ 3Cat \/ RTVE, 2026).<\/p>
